These hand-carved soapstone plates are a gorgeous accompaniment to your current china or earthenware. For use with starters and snacks for your dining table or dinner party. All of our soapstone items are sustainably sourced and handmade in the Kisii area of Kenya where they have conservation methods in place. Due to the nature of the material each item will be truly unique.
Our soapstone items are not suitable for dishwashers.

Behind every product is a story and a craftsman or woman with whom A&A has a personal relationship. Amy and Bee have travelled extensively to work directly with the individuals and groups involved in the production of the joyful products they sell. They check out the factories and travel to rural areas to make safe practice is taking place. Cutting out as many middlemen as possible and dealing directly with artisans ensures that the products are ethically made and materials are sustainably sourced.
