Bouvet Ladubay Saphir Brut Vintage 375ml
The famous French winery Bouvet Ladubay is considered the world's leading house for exclusive crémants. Founded by Etienne Bouvet near Saumur in the Loire Valley over 160 years ago, it is now back in the Monmoussea family and is still based in the lower Loire riparian regions. The sparkling wines, which are largely influenced by the 'Chenin Blanc' grape variety, mature on yeast for 18 months without using wood. As part of the 'Appellation d'Origine Crémant de Loire Contrôlée', they meet the highest standards and can absolutely compete with champagne.
The Saumur 'Saphir' Vintage Brut is a blend of 95% Chenin Blanc with a small pinch of Chardonnay. Incredibly refreshing with a bouquet resembling a basket of white fruit. Peaches, accompanied by acacia, honey and a touch of jasmine - a very special aromatic assemblage. Full-bodied and elegant, this Brut Vintage proves to be an excellent accompaniment to a meal, from aperitifs to dessert.
