SOL DE IBIZA is a certified organic mineral sunscreen that offers broad spectrum protection. We believe shielding you from the sun does not have to destroy the earth, so being environmentally friendly is at the heart of all we do. Our packaging is zero waste, our ingredients are natural and organic. We are socially conscious, cruelty-free and vegan. Our products are suitable for all skin types and can be used by the whole family. 

Imagined and created in 2015 by Alessandro Mancini. Open-water swimmer who moved to Ibiza, he realized returning from a long summer swim how the water at the shore was affected by a disgusting smell. He never actually though about how the chemical of the sunscreen products could impact the quality of the water. Backed by his wife from Australia, where there is more awareness about skin problems. One day a friend of him came with the idea of creating a natural sunscreen, they embraced the Sol de Ibiza project. They quickly realized how chemical free products would be beneficial not only for the skin but also for the sea he loves to swim in. To make it happen the first step was the selection of the ingredients: a sunscreen made by natural ingredients only, which is good for kids, adults and the environment: non-nano zinc oxide as a mineral filter, almond oil, shea butter, coconut oil, aloe vera juice and calendula are the key ingredients from Sol de Ibiza products. What they definitely didn’t want, was to produce another piece of plastic that could find his way into the sea, that’s why Sol de Ibiza is completely plastic-free. 

Today we are an international collective of five, coming from different backgrounds with one thing in common: our love for the environment and our desire to make a positive difference being part of this sustainable project.

Sales started in 2019, mainly in Canaries and Balearic Islands. Nowadays, we are present in 17 countries and more than 1800 organic and zero waste shops. We keep growing, not only abroad but also with our investigations; finding the best packaging and formulations to create sustainable and meaningful products that always reflect our vision: to create sun protection products that protect the people and the planet.
